Your First Visit

First impressions are everything, and we want you to feel like a welcome member of our dental family from the moment you first walk through our doors. Getting established with any new dental office can seem intimidating, but our team is here to make the process easy and stress-free.

How to Schedule Your First Appointment

At the dental office of Dr. Andriy Krayniy and Dr. Rosemarie Zimmerman, we offer convenient extended hours throughout the week so you can schedule appointments that work for you. You can call us at (212) 245-0055 and speak to a helpful team member, or you can visit our contact page and fill out our online scheduling form.

Getting Started as Our Patient

To establish you as a new patient, we need to obtain your dental and medical history. Visit our forms page, and you can conveniently fill out your paperwork online.

Please be sure to bring a photo ID and the insurance card you plan to use, as well as a credit card or other method you may use for payment.

When You Arrive at Our Office

We love meeting new patients and will greet you warmly when you arrive, check you in, and take your insurance information. We will take you back to your treatment room, where you will meet one of our dental hygienists, Angela, Sarah or Mei.

Your Dental Exam and Cleaning

Our hygienists will collect all the necessary patient records to allow our doctors to make a proper diagnosis. If a patient has any specific questions, it will first be addressed by the doctor. Our hygienists will then examine your teeth and gums to check for cavities and gum disease. If your dental x-rays are not current, we will also take new ones, so we have a current picture of your overall oral health. We will perform a dental cleaning at this time unless we find that you have advanced gum disease that needs a specialized cleaning.

Meeting with Your Dentist

After your cleaning, you will meet with Dr. Krayniy or Dr. Zimmerman who will discuss our findings with you. If you have cavities or gum disease, we’ll set up a personalized treatment plan to get your oral health back on track. Our patient coordinator, Connie, will help you make any financial or insurance arrangements and schedule future appointments as necessary.

Before you leave our dental office, we’ll make sure that you feel fully informed and confident about the next steps we need to take.
